脫發是一種常見的皮膚病，可分為脂溢性脫發（又稱脂禿、早禿）、斑禿、全禿等十幾種。常見的脫發大多為脂溢性脫發（占脫發患者95%以上），其癥狀為患者頭皮脂肪過量溢出，導致頭發油膩潮濕，有時還伴有頭皮搔癢炎癥。脫發先從兩額角、前額和頭頂中間開始，繼而彌漫于整個頭頂，癥狀嚴重者脫發區變得油光發亮，剩余的頭發變得細軟枯黃，患者一般從20多歲開始出現脂溢性脫發，到40多歲就基本脫光，嚴重影響美容。
脂溢性脫發被稱為脫發中的"癌癥"，其治療是個世界性難題，在"藍夸克"產品問世之前，可以說是基本無藥可治。市面上現有的一些治療脫發的藥物實際上僅對斑禿等非脂溢性脫發有效，對脂溢性脫發療效甚微。導致這種現狀的一個重要原因是脂溢性脫發的本質病因目前尚不清楚,目前西醫一般認為脂溢性脫發與人體雄性激素分泌過旺有關，中醫認為與人體腎血虧虛有關。然而西醫用抗雄性激素，中醫用養血補腎藥物治療脂禿，效果都不理想。

Alopecia is common disease which can be divided into seborrheic alopecia and non-seborrheical alopecia areata .Most alopecia, which consists more than 95% of patients, and mostly happen on male, but sometimes also on female. Its symptom is the hypersteatosis of hair which results in greasiness and dampness of hair, sometimes with the itch and inflammation. Alopecia starts from the corners of forehead, the forehead and the top, then spreads over the head. The area without hair is shinny and the rest hair becomes withered and yellow. Patients usually come to seborrheic alopecia from their twenties. When they are in their 35--40's, they almost become bald.
Seborrheic alopecia is called "cancer" in alopecia. Its treatment is a world-wide problem. Before the invention of Bluequark, no effective medicine is found for it. Present medicines are only efficacious for non-seborrheic alopecia areata. The situation is largely owing to the failing understanding of the cause of the disease. At present, western medicine usually considers seborrheis alopecia has something to do with hypersecretion of male sex houmone in human body, while traditional Chinese medicine believes it has something to do with deficiency of kidney & blood. However, the effect of treatment is not satisfactory, either using anti-male hormone or traditional Chinese medicine to nourishing blood and kidney.
